No doubts, I'm back. With a new coat.5:04 PM
Good morning everyone,
It's been a while since I last wrote a blog post. Since then I've been promoted at work (well, more work for the same money...is it a promotion?) and I really had less time to dedicate to this blog. But maybe there was another, more intimate reason. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the idea of having a blog. Everyone around was publishing amazing posts with the most beautiful handmade clothes, and I was feeling I wasn't good enough at sewing. Everyone on the blogosphere could write a perfect English, and I knew my English was far from being perfect. I'm not a great photographer so my pictures were mostly flat and unappealing. I'm a shy person and I don't have courage to appear on the pictures. I also had no time to post regularly, and I was feeling sorry for that. So I decided to stop for a while and take time to think about it.
But I didn't stop sewing. I've sewn a coat for my daughter, and I'm really proud of it. I'm planning to sew a lot of things, and I'd love to keep on sharing with someone else the things I do.
That's why I've decided to come back. With no pressure. Maybe I am not the best seamstress of all times (I'm self-taught after all), maybe not everyone will be able to understand my poor English and I'll post something only if I really have something to show or to say, but I still have so much fun blogging, and this is the most important thing for me.
Maybe I'm the billionth person who has sewn the Dear my Kids double breasted coat, but I'm really happy with this pattern and with the result. I've used some light blue wool fabric and a Gutermann cotton fabric for the lining (Blue flower burst on white).
See you soon (I promise)!
